The ancient Greeks understood this better than most Americans, and they still do today. The goal of education is to make the human being a fully developed person. This means that we must use all of our experiences in the process of educating a child. Here are five ways we can use the educational process to make our children more successful:

The process of social reproduction is imperfect, but it still works to maintain the status quo. As a result, children from lower-income backgrounds become lower-class adults, while students from middle-class families become middle-class adults. In fact, the dominant class has closely aligned the values of education and society to the interests of the middle class, alienating students from other classes.
